LIBRARY IN A NUTSHELL. Confused by the library? Intimidated by research? New to Brooklyn College? Or still wondering about resources in the library? Come to this workshop to learn tips for finding books, e-books, scholarly articles and other information at Brooklyn College and beyond! Also feel free to ask any questions you have about the library. Workshops will be held in the Workshop Center near the Reference Desk on the First Floor of the Brooklyn College Library: Tuesday September 3, 6:00pm-7:00pm, Tuesday September 10, 11:00am-12:00 noon, Sunday September 15, 11:00am-12:00 noon

FREE TEXTBOOKS: How to find textbooks for your spring classes. Drop in for a quick and easy demo that will show you how to find books in CUNY libraries—save yourself time and money by checking for a library copy of your textbooks for the fall semester. Textbook Lookup Workshops will run every five minutes in the Workshop Center near the Reference Desk on the First Floor of the Brooklyn College Library: Tuesday September 3, 12:15pm-2:00pm, Tuesday September 10, 12:15pm-2:00pm, Thursday September 12, 12:15pm-2:00pm. 

RefWorks Workshops at the Library. Mystified by MLA? Agonizing over APA? Baffled by your bibliography? Refworks can help. This semester, the Brooklyn College Library is offering a series of  workshops on RefWorks basics, including how to use Write-N-Cite to embed citations in manuscripts. If you plan to attend a workshop, please try to be on time so you don’t miss out. Tuesday, September 3, 8:00pm-9:30pm, Tuesday, September 10, 6:00pm-7:00pm, Sunday, October 6, 11:00am-12:00 noon, Saturday, October 12, 4:00pm-5:00pm, Wednesday, October 16, 5:00pm-6:00pm, Thursday, November 7,          6:00pm-7:00pm, Wednesday, November 20, 5:00pm-6:00pm. All Refworks workshops are held in the Library Workshop Center (on the first floor, near the reference desk).
