See the top bar on the scroll for vacation universals and trips.
July 4 to 7th Gettysburg Pennsylvania is having the 150th celebration with battle reenactments. Rooms are up to $200 with a week to go. Without a car it is a long day trip and a lot of buses. There are no buses on the fourth and on weekends. Write me for details without a car. (robinqhood (at)
Not in travel books is Hampton, New Hampshire. It is named one of the top 6 beaches in the country based on a new article  by the Weather Channel and It is like Coney Island with 80 concerts, a nice amphitheater, penny arcades, miniature golf and nice pastel painted architecture. There is little coastline in the state so they all come to this area. There is surfing and scuba diving. There are many contests from sand sculpting to talent to beauty.  Sometimes you can catch a bus tour from Boston sometimes with Monday night movies, Wednesday night fireworks, nightly concerts at the bandshell on the beach. The McDonald is the busiest in the country.
Late in or early for next year: for today and Sunday if there are tickets left but rooms are expensive for the Freihofers Jazz Festival featuring Tony Bennet, Buddy Guy, Preservation Hall Jazz Bandin Sarasota Springs and 2 days of acts in Saratoga Springs and a famous horse track.

To find a hostel try,, and has reviews.
