Dance, Dance, Dance and Mel Brooks

Free dance lessons outside the Grand Army Plaza Library this Wednesday. Swingtime Big Band has a 20-piece band which plays authentic recreations of the timeless swing music of such great Big Band leaders as Count Basie, Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington and many others. 6:30 pm lessons, 7 pm band. In case of rain this event will be held at the Union Temple of Brooklyn, 17 Eastern Parkway 3rd floor ballroom.

Mel Brooks turns 87 and he attended BC. He started with writing for Your Show of Shows and is most famous for films such as Blazing SaddlesThe ProducersYoung Frankenstein and High Anxiety.
