The Cherry Blossom Festival at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens has fields of pink blossoms. It has a fashion show, sword ceremony, a lot of dances, drumming and instruments not seen in the NY. Also there are tours, a magician, kiminos, pinwheels and puzzle events. Sunday is the better day to go because of the Fashion Show. The lily pond is a must. To buy food there are 20 minute lines so you may want to bring your own. Admission is only $15 for students, $20 for adults. The always vibrant Tribeca Film Festival comes to a close on April 28, but before the festivities end, families get their own day of activities on April 27.
