Tuesday: 24th Biannual International Electroacoustic Music Festival at Studio 312, Roosevelt Extension and free. Featuring works by David Revill, Tom Goldstein, Jason Eckardt, Arthur Krieger, Marc Thorman, Douglas Geers 4:30-6 PM.  Mindful Education and the ABCs of Attention, Balance, and Compassion. A talk with Susan Kaiser-Greenland, author of The Mindful Child and director of Inner Kids, discussing the practice of mindfulness for children and young adults and its applications at home, in schools and in the caring professions. This discussion will focus on the Inner Kids program, with age-appropriate and secular activities that help children from pre-kindergarten through young adult incorporate the new ABCs attention, balance, and compassion into their daily lives. Woody Tanger Auditorium, Library. Latin Woman Event 6-9pm Maroney Room Student Center. Wednesday:  Debate Club 12:15pm Maroney Room Student Center 12:50- 2:30 PM. Violence & Animation: Join Professor Brian Dunphy in a discussion that will focus on the depiction of acceptable and unacceptable violence. You will explore violence in drawings, cartoons and animation and discuss how American society is reflected in that violence. A major focus will be on the violence of the past 20 years from The Simpsons to MTV’s Liquid Television, and South Park.  2310 Ingersoll Hall 6-7:30 PM. MFA Intergenre Reading Series with Alice Mattison. Novelist and playwright will read from their works at Woody Tanger Auditorium, Library.

Thursday: 28-Days Film Screening: Cover Girl Culture at  227 Ingersoll Hall Extension – Women’s Center. The Science Survival Guide 12:30 – 2:30 PM, this may me Wed or Thurs  because they may be a mistake.
