At 1:31am the rover landed on Mars were it will broadcast photos for a year. On Campus broke the story and got one of the first photos via the Jet Propulsion Lab in California. Only one radio station we noticed covered it live. WABC radio did a good job and was knowledgeable. They said there were more high fives then a Tony Roberts meeting. CNN had the video first from our account. The landing was a risky mission and hurdling thorough space at close to 570 km from earth. It takes 13 minutes delay to see the photos.
